Welcome to Columbus Air Force Base! We at the 14th Flying Training Wing are looking forward to having you and your family as a guest.  Before you begin your fun, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide additional information and hopefully answer any questions you might have.

For those not familiar, Columbus AFB is located 8 miles north of downtown Columbus, MS off US Highway 45 North. Click here for directions and parking information.


First and foremost, the airshow is a FREE Event, open to the general public.  With that in mind, we wish to remind you that you will be entering an active military installation and as a result, there are some extra things to consider.  All personnel and hand carried items are subject to search.
 The following items are prohibited and will not be allowed on base:
Backpacks Knives (all sizes)
Guns (all types) Ammunition (all types)
Chemical Irritants (all types)  Coolers (except those for medication or  baby formula)
Personal Defense Weapons (all types) Any Weapon
Alcohol Illegal Drugs/Paraphernalia
Glass bottles/containers Animals
Bicycles Roller Blades
Fireworks  
Please note that this list is NOT all inclusive; Security Forces reserves the right to inspect all personal effects upon entry into the installation.  Any item posing a threat during inspection will be confiscated
 
With that in mind, Strollers ARE authorized on base.  Please be ready to have them searched/inspected during your initial entry to the installation.  Bring your lawn chairs, wagons and sunscreen as well!
Parents, please review your lost child procedures before entering the base in case you and your child get separated.

There will be concessions available for you to purchase food, drink, and of course, souvenirs!  Please make sure you bring cash for all of your purchases.  If you forget your cash, there will be ATMs throughout the event.  Many of the squadrons of Columbus Air Force Base will have booths with memorabilia and souvenirs!  The following food, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase:
